March 12, 1957 – May 7, 2024

Patty Denison was born on March 12, 1957 and grew up in St. Louis Park, MN.

In her life, she lived in a number of places such as Bainbridge Island, WA,  Kauai, HI and at Diamond Lake, MN, but she found her home here in Waynesboro. She was smart and friendly and made friends easily as she worked all around the country installing hospital computer systems.  She lived life as an adventure; her approach was “no guts, no glory.” But the things people remember most were her love of animals, cards with friends, and easy sense of humor.  Patty left us on May 7, 2024 after a very long battle with cancer and it was a battle. She fought every step of the way and woe to anything that got in the way of her battle plans.  She was preceded in death by her adopted parents Phoebe Mikkola (Denison) and Lloyd Denison. She leaves her husband, Carl Fumante of Waynesboro, her brother, Dave Denison of Shakopee, MN,  her life-long best friend, Judy Christensen of St. Louis Park, MN, her new-found friends Dianne and Larry Butler of Collinwood, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to count as well as four heart-broken cats. She loved the people she met here and was sad that she only had a few months given to her to be here, but she spent her last days in the new home she had picked out and went to her final home peacefully. Thank you to all the folks who brightened her way. We all miss you terribly, Patty.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Shawnettee Memory Gardens with Greg Eaton officiating.
