Cavanaugh, Patricia Pat died peacefully in her home the morning of May 17th, 2022 surrounded by family after fighting a short ferocious battle with pancreatic cancer at age 65. Survived by step daughter Lizzie Bellinger, step son Aaron Cavanaugh-Broad, step granddaughter Rowan Bellinger, sisters Kathy Walstead-Plumb and Nancy Gerber, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her beloved husband John Cavanaugh preceded her in death by six months. Pat earned her PhD in political science from the University of Minnesota and taught at Carleton College. She loved St. Paul and was politically active, especially in her support for Dave Pinto, the Minnesota Watershed District, Center for Transportation Studies and the Minnesota Historical Society, among others. She was a serious cook, adventurous eater, avid gardener, and especially loved ballroom dancing. In lieu of flowers please direct donations to the Masonic Cancer Center. Condolences MyKeeper.com
