Died: January 12, 2014

Toy-Pearson, Cynthia Diane Who died peacefully on January 12 was the final installment in the bring-me-a-new-sister plan conceived by her parents, Kathryn and Harold Toy. She was born on November 7, 1956 and was welcomed to her suburban Minneapolis, MN home by her sisters Joann (Lowrie) and Sue (Doering) and also by her brother Richard (Toy). Cindy was the baby of the family…. our littlest angel, blonde haired and adorable with an infectious smile and always a Band-Aid (or two) on one of her knees. She attended St. Louis Park schools and the University of Wisconsin (Stout) graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising. Always impeccably dressed, she loved nothing more than shopping for and wearing the latest fashions. She worked as a buyer for Haugland’s Children’s Wear for many years and more recently for AAA in conjunction with their on-site travel store. She was an exceptional daughter who, patiently and without complaint, cared for first her father and then her mother as they became older and died. She LOVED music and concerts; loved traveling to North Carolina for WWII reunions; loved being on a boat traveling anywhere; loved wading in the ocean. She was a giver of the most thoughtful gifts; an aunt to Noelle, Kristen, James and Michelle; a great aunt to Ethan, Emma and Erik. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 at 12 noon at Union Congregational Church, 3700 Alabama Ave S., St Louis Park, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Methodist Hospital hospice nurses, to Scott Montei for taking such good care of our sister the last months of her life and to our brother Dick whose devotion to Cindy has been an inspiration to all of us. Cindy, your brother and sisters who bid you farewell today wish you a safe return to the loving arms of our mom and dad…we will miss you and remember you always… you are truly irreplaceable.
